We’re Tired of Being Called “Strong” — We Just Want Life to Feel Easier

We hear it all the time...“You’re so strong.”

It’s said with love, admiration, and good intentions. But if we’re being honest, most of us aren’t looking to be strong every day.

We just want things to be easier.

We want to stop constantly surviving and start actually living.

As single moms, we’ve learned to handle everything, parenting, work, bills, emotions, all of it... often with no one to lean on.

We’ve become experts at multitasking, resilience, and pretending we’re fine when we’re not.

It’s not that we don’t appreciate the compliment; it’s that being “strong” has become another expectation to meet instead of an empowering truth to rest in.

Some days, strength feels like survival mode on repeat.

And that’s exhausting.

We don’t want medals for making it through the day. We want systems that make our lives a little smoother.

Affordable childcare.

Flexible workplaces.

Real community.

Friends who show up without being asked.

The kind of support that lets us finally take a deep breath without guilt.

Because deep down, we’re not heroes. We’re women who love deeply, work hard, and want joy to be an everyday thing, not a luxury. (And for the separated ones, divorced moms trying to co-parent, maybe just one day without a constant battle with the kids’ father would feel like peace.)

It’s not that we don’t value strength; it’s that we never got to choose it. We became strong because we had to.

We’re not asking for perfection. We’re asking for space... to laugh, to rest, to go a day without our minds spinning about what needs to be done next.

Because strength shouldn’t be the only thing people see in us.

There’s also grace, love, exhaustion, humor, and quiet hope.

This blog is our space.

For all the single moms, the separated ones, the women rebuilding from scratch, this is where we can be honest about how hard it really is, and how beautiful it can still be.

Together, we’ll share stories, lessons, and moments that remind us we’re not alone in wanting life to feel lighter.

Welcome home. You don’t have to be strong here. Just real.
